Mission Statement
The first thing you will notice about WNY Physical & Occupational Therapy Group is the personal attention that you will receive from caring therapists and staff.
We recognize that each patient is unique and has their own set of circumstances and goals. From the moment you are greeted in reception, out staff works as a team to meet your individual needs and retmn you to your optimal functional state as soon as possible.
Our Mission is to provide high quality, effective and efficient rehabilitation and preventive physical therapy and occupational therapy services to improve the health and functional ability of our clients. Many of our staff have developed special area of expertise for treatment of spine and musculature injuries, manual therapy, neuromuscular and vestibular rehabilitation, prosthetic gait training, and sports medicine.
We offer other benefits that include Workplace screens, back injury protection education, physical fitness program and spinal decompression. We treat all ages including infants. We accept most insurance plans.

Jeremy Long, DPT
Jeremy Long, DPT, received his Doctor of Physical Therapy in May 2015 from Daemen College. He began his professional career with WNY Physical & Occupational Therapy in 2015 at our office in Salamanca and joined the team at the Depew office in 2017.
He is a certified McKenzie practitioner with expertise in treating all types of spinal pathology, although he enjoys treating patients with all types of physical therapy diagnoses.
Walter R. Szymanski, P. T
Walter R. Szymanski, a life long resident of the Lancaster-Depew area, graduated from Lancaster High School and served in the military from 1969-1971 US Army. He received his degree in physical therapy from the University of Buffalo in 1975. He specializes primarily in orthopedics and spinal manual therapy. He is a Clinical Instructor for several local colleges, past president of the local private practice section of the American Physical Therapy Association, and has held several leadership positions in the local P.T. Professional Societies including the Insurance Committee and Peer Review Committee of a local HMO. He has been self-employed most of his career. In 1980, with his partners, they formed Western New York Physical & Occupational Therapy. In 2001, Walter R. Szymanski, PT, assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer of Western New York Physical & Occupational Therapy Group.
Mr. Szymanski is past Board Member of Lancaster-Depew Little League, and the LancasterDepew YMCA. He has served twice as President of Lancaster-Depew Rotary Club, and was named a Paul Harris Fellow in 1999. He also participates in the Alfred T. Ca:ffiero Foundation, which raises money for Lou Gehrig’s disease Research. Mr. Szymanski, and his family reside in Lancaster, NewYork.
Jamie Tiberi, PT
Mrs. Tiberi is an experienced physical therapist specializing in neuro rehabilitation, vestibular rehab and general physical therapy treatment. She also has experience with post concussion dizziness. Jamie treats all types of neurological pathologies and is highly skilled in treating balance and fall risk patients.
