McKenzie Technique

The McKenzie method is an internationally researched and acclaimed system of musculoskeletal care emphasizing patient empowerment and self-treatment. It has been widely accepted and used worldwide for over 60 years. This philosophy promotes active patient involvement and education for the spine and extremities, and applies to acute, sub-acute, and chronic conditions. The key distinction is its initial evaluation: a safe and reliable means to accurately reach a diagnosis and develop and appropriate and relevant plan of care. Rarely are expensive tests, such as MRI’s, required. MDT clinicians are able to quickly determine how this approach will work for each patient, and focuses on patient potential and recovery to their previous level of function.
